The Australian Way

Introduction

According to a recent study, more than 6.5 million Americans are considering moving abroad. While it’s easy enough to find reasons not to leave the country (ahem, taxes), there are plenty of compelling reasons why people choose to relocate their lives overseas: better work-life balance, lower cost of living, better weather. But what about you? Would you ever consider moving away from your home country? If so—where would you go? And why?

The Australian Way

AUSTRALIA IS THE 6TH MOST POPULOUS COUNTRY IN THE WORLD.

Australia is the sixth most populous country in the world, with a population of 24,150,000 people. Australia has a land area of 7,692,024 square kilometres and a population density of 3.4 people per square kilometre.

THERE ARE 19 CITIES WITH MORE THAN 1 MILLION PEOPLE IN AUSTRALIA.

There are 19 cities with more than 1 million people in Australia.

The most populous city is Sydney, with 4.9 million residents. It’s followed by Melbourne (4.5 million), Perth (2.1 million) and Brisbane (2).

AUSTRALIA HAS DIFFERENT LOCAL CURRENCIES IN EACH STATE & TERRITORY.

Australia has five different currencies: the Australian dollar (AUD), the New Zealand dollar (NZD), the Canadian dollar (CAD), the US dollar (USD) and the Great British pound sterling (£ GBP). The Australian dollar is what you’ll see on most ATMs, but if you’re traveling around Australia’s states and territories, it’s best to check which local currency they use before setting off.

The AUD is used in every state except Western Australia where they have their own currency called “West Australian dollars”. This means that if you want to buy something while visiting Perth or Darwin, know that they will charge you in West Australian dollars instead of Australian ones!

THE FIRST SETTLERS IN AUSTRALIA WERE ABORIGINAL PEOPLE.

The first settlers in Australia were Aboriginal people. They are the indigenous peoples of Australia and have lived there for more than 50,000 years.

Aboriginal culture is based on custom, not written laws or rules like European cultures and societies are. The customs are passed down from generation to generation and vary from tribe to tribe.

THERE ARE MORE THAN 4,000 NATIVE SPECIES IN AUSTRALIA.

Australia is home to more than 4,000 native species of plants and animals. Many of these species are endemic–meaning they exist nowhere else on Earth.

Here are some of Australia’s most interesting creatures:

  • The cassowary is the world’s largest bird, with a height up to 2 meters (6 ft 7 in) and weight up to 100 kg (220 lb). They’re also known for their bright blue neck pouch that they use as an egg incubator when they lay their eggs!
  • Koalas live in eucalyptus trees where they eat leaves all day long. They have special claws so they can hold onto branches while eating without falling off! These marsupials only come out at night when no predators are around; otherwise koalas would be easy prey because they’re slow moving due to their large size and heavy fur coat which keeps them warm during cold nights in Australia’s tropical climate zones near creeks or rivers.* Kangaroos use their tails as rudders while jumping across open plains–they don’t have any bones inside them but instead muscles which allow them flexibility during movement.* Tasmanian devils look like small dogs but are actually carnivorous marsupials whose teeth never stop growing throughout their lives so when one dies another takes its place by fighting over food sources

THE MAJORITY OF PEOPLE LIVING IN AUSTRALIA ARE WHITE EUROPEANS.

The majority of people living in Australia are white Europeans. The first settlers were Aboriginal people, but they have been mostly replaced by British convicts, who were sent to Australia to work as slaves.

This is why today’s Australians can be considered descendants of prisoners!

THE OLDEST CONTINUING EXISTING SETTLEMENT IN OCEANIA IS NEW ZEALAND’S PORT CHALMERS WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED BY SWEDISH SAILORS AND VESSEL ENGINEERED HANS NIELSEN IN 1844.

The Oldest Continually Existing Settlement in Oceania is New Zealand’s Port Chalmers which was established by Swedish sailors and vessel engineer Hans Nielsen in 1844.

Port Chalmers is located on Otago Harbour, New Zealand. It was named after Lord George Murray, who served as Governor-in-Chief of India during 1766-1772.

The town has a population of approximately 5,000 people and serves as a port for Dunedin city (about 15 km away).

THERE ARE 5 CONTINENTS BUT ONLY 3 FLAGS REPRESENT THEM FOR EXAMPLE, THE AMERICAN FLAG DOES NOT HAVE A MAP OF NORTH AMERICA ON IT NOR DOES IT HAVE GREENLAND OR ALASKA EITHER!

There are 5 continents but only 3 flags represent them for example, the american flag does not have a map of north america on it nor does it have greenland or alaska either!

America is the only continent that has an animal on its flag.

Conclusion

Australia is a great country and has many unique features that make it stand out from other nations. The country is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, with its famous beaches, deserts and rainforests.
